Roving I Finds: Southwest Savings
There's something magical about the desert. After growing up surrounded by green grass and leafy trees, the first time I saw the deep orange and red rock-laden landscape I was in complete awe. And I still am every time I go back. Today's finds are focused on the Southwest. Enjoy!
- Santa Fe, New Mexico: The Encantado, A wonderful retreat, nestled deep in the high desert hills. We stayed here last winter and enjoyed the setting, the amenities (in-room Casita!) and delightful details that make this place a truly indulgent escape. Book through Jetsetter.com for rates as low as $235/night for available dates through February 2012.

- Sedona, Arizona: One of my favorite places in the world, so far. With its looming Red Rock giants everywhere you look, Sedona is simply breathtaking. The Four Diamond Sedona Rouge has an incredible Midweek Special through the end of the year where you can save 20% off regular rates for midweek stays. More info here.

These are three places I have visited in the past year! I was actually just mentioning to my husband yesterday that I would love to return to Santa Fe! Staying at The Encantado would be amazing!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog with well wishes!!!
That Austin hotel looks amazing, what a view! Hope we can win tickets to Japan and go together!
Kate - We just booked our 3rd trip in 3 years back to the Southwest. It's wonderful.
Jenn - Count me in for the Japan trip!
I just did a road trip from Louisiana to Los Angeles, and the only thing that made it worthwhile was the lovely scenery in the New Mexico and Arizona deserts!
My favorite were these funny trees that I like to call Dr. Seuss tress because they looked like quirky cartoons!
My husband just got back from here and now we want to plan a trip to take me there. This will help!!
Shannon- The desert landscapes are amazing in the Southwest. Thanks for stopping by.
Hannah- That's great news. Let me know if you're headed to Sedona. I'd be happy to share our itinerary!
